Features
What it actually does
Everything on this page is built and working. Anything still being built is in its own section at the bottom, marked as such.
Listing from photographs
Reading, not guessing
Evidence for every fact
Each detail in a draft names the photograph it came from and what in that photograph shows it. "The silver label on the underside reads XPH12Z" is evidence. "Makita" is not, and is discarded.
Specifications off screens and plates
System information windows, rating plates, care labels, box panels. Anything printed and photographed becomes a specification on the listing, where buyers search for it.
Barcodes read locally
If the item has a retail barcode, it is decoded from your photograph before anything else runs, and a product database answers far more reliably than any model.
Provenance you can see
Read from a photo, from a barcode, from you, or worked out. Four different labels, four different colours. You know what to check at a glance.
It will not price, weigh or grade for you
A photograph does not contain a price, a weight or a condition grade. Those are yours, and the software is built so it cannot offer a guess at any of them.
Short questions, never an interrogation
When something genuinely cannot be determined, you get a question you can answer with a tap. If there would be more than five, you get a pre-filled form instead, which is faster and more honest.
Publishing to eBay
Two steps, on purpose
A draft eBay has already checked
eSellBridge creates the listing on eBay switched off. eBay validates it and tells you what it thinks, while fixing it is still free. No buyer can see it.
One button makes it visible
Publishing is a separate, deliberate action with a confirmation. There is no path through the software that puts an item in front of buyers without you.
Categories and required aspects
eBay is asked which category the item belongs in and what that category requires. What is already known is filled in; what is not becomes a short question with eBay's own options.
Values eBay will refuse, caught early
"16GB" read off a screen is not eBay's "16 GB". eSellBridge notices before you publish and offers the wording eBay accepts, keeping your own on the product.
Your policies, read from your account
Postage, payment, returns and ship-from are read out of your own eBay account as a list to pick from. No hunting for identifiers in a dashboard.
Your codes stay your codes
Your own internal reference can never be sent to eBay as a barcode. The software tests that a value really is a registered barcode before it will send it, which also catches a real one mistyped.
Stock and photographs
The unglamorous half
Overselling made difficult
Available stock is a calculation the database performs and refuses to let go negative. A unit is held back from the marketplace by default on anything with three or fewer in stock.
Photographs handled properly
HEIC from an iPhone is converted. Rotation is applied so nothing arrives sideways. Location data and every other piece of private metadata is stripped before anything is stored.
Import what you already have
A CSV from a spreadsheet or another tool, with the columns matched up for you. Export the same way, so nothing is ever trapped here.
Staff accounts with real roles
Owner, manager, lister and viewer. Two-factor authentication on every account that can change money-affecting things, with a QR code rather than a thirty-two character key to type.
Marketing
Content written from the product, not invented
A version per platform
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and a plain one for pasting anywhere. Each written to what actually reads well there rather than to the maximum the platform allows.
Images already the right shape
Your own photograph cropped to each platform's dimensions. Not generated imagery: buyers of second-hand goods want to see the actual item, and generated pictures of it are never allowed near a listing.
No price in the post
A caption quoting a price is wrong the moment you change it, and nothing rewrites it for you. The post sends people to the listing, which is always current.
It tells you when it is out of date
Change the product and the content is marked out of date immediately, because it was written about something that has since changed.
Being built
Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise
In roughly the order they are being worked on.
| What | Why it is not there yet |
|---|---|
| Orders imported from eBay | The next piece of work. It unlocks most of the list below. |
| Printed labels and scan-to-confirm | A barcode on every item, and your phone camera confirming you are packing the right one for the order in front of you. Needs orders first. |
| Automatic delisting when something sells | Needs orders. Meaningful once there is a second marketplace. |
| More marketplaces | A proper integration takes weeks each. eBay first, done thoroughly, rather than four done shallowly. |
| Sales and profit reporting | Needs orders. |
| Automatic social posting | Deferred deliberately. The content is generated and stored now, so adding posting later delivers content that already exists rather than being a rebuild. |
